Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ameluno collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our international dating service. It should be read with our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, city, profile details, photos, languages, dating preferences, relationship and relocation intentions, messages, reports, blocks, and support requests.

We may also collect technical and usage information such as device and browser type, approximate location, IP address, pages viewed, interactions, referral information, language, time zone, and security events. Precise browser location is requested only when you choose to use the nearest-city suggestion.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, display profiles, provide matching and filtering, deliver messages, support translations, show profile visits, personalize the service, respond to requests, investigate reports, prevent fraud and abuse, improve performance, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Profile visibility and sensitive choices

Dating profiles are intended to be discoverable by other members. Depending on what you choose to add, a profile may reveal personal or sensitive information such as relationship goals, religion, family plans, gender, languages, and relocation intentions. Only add information you are comfortable sharing. Exact device coordinates are not displayed as your public location.

4. Messages and safety reports

Conversation access is restricted to participants through database access controls, but messages are not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Authorized systems and personnel may process messages where needed to provide translation, maintain the service, investigate abuse, respond to reports, or comply with law. Reports and related evidence may be retained for safety and enforcement.

5. How information is shared

We share information with other members according to your profile and activity; with vendors that provide hosting, authentication, databases, storage, analytics, communications, moderation, and translation; when you direct us to share it; during a corporate transaction; or when required to comply with law and protect rights, safety, and security. We do not sell personal information for money.

6. International processing

Ameluno is an international service. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, where privacy laws may differ. Where required, we use appropriate legal safeguards for international transfers.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type. Some information may remain in backups or be retained to prevent repeat abuse after account deletion.

8. Your choices and rights

You can update profile information, change matching preferences, block members, or request account deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication and participant-based access controls. No system is completely secure, so use a unique password, protect your device, and report suspected account misuse promptly.

10. Children

Ameluno is only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts. Contact us if you believe a minor is using the service.

11. Changes and contact
