Trust should grow.
Pressure is a warning.

Distance can make it harder to verify context. Ameluno is designed to help you slow down, notice inconsistencies, and stay in control.

Look for identity signals

Verification is one signal, never a guarantee. Compare profile details over time and notice when stories repeatedly change.

Video call before travel

Have multiple live conversations before planning a trip. A person who continually avoids video may not be who they claim.

Never send money

Do not transfer money, buy gift cards, share banking credentials, or move funds for someone you met through dating.

Keep conversations in-app

Moving immediately to a private channel removes platform protections. Take your time and protect personal contact details.

A simple rule for romance scams

If affection accelerates while a crisis, investment, medical bill, visa fee, or travel emergency appears, stop. Do not pay. Save the messages, report the account, and talk to someone you trust.

Not sure about someone? Try the romance scam checker.

We don't run criminal background checks

Ameluno does not currently conduct criminal background checks or identity screening of members. A Verified badge, where shown, only means a member's photos matched a live selfie. Please take your own precautions:

  • Video call before you meet, and be wary of anyone who always has a reason not to.
  • Meet somewhere public for the first few dates, and arrange your own way there and back.
  • Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting.
  • Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you haven't met.
  • Report anyone who pressures you or asks for money, so we can act.

We will label safety features honestly.

Ameluno is in an early stage. Identity checks, moderation, and reporting will never be implied before they are operational. Until then, the interface will clearly distinguish a planned feature from an active protection.
